I’m probably and idiot, but………
I used your software and really liked how good it works. You are amazing!!!
But I can’t get it to rotate without losing the sound.
Is there something I need to setup for that?
Thx
Ian

Ian, let me know which version of Windows you are using. And which media player you are trying to play the file in. I am not sure why you are having this error, but we may be able to work it out!

Hi there.
The concept of this program is very good and I imagine it to be excellent.
However, I can’t get it to work at all.
After installing the program, I tried it.
It just doesn’t work.
I’m using Windows Vista SP1, and trying to rotate an .avi file.
I choose open with, and then the program, and nothing happens.

Seb - ta for trying this out. Are you able to open the prog through the Start menu.
If you are, drag and drop the video file to the white box (once you have opened it from the start menu) and it should work.
Let me know what happens
July 24th, 2008 at 7:30 pm
no - it is not possible for me to open through the start menu either.
same response as when i open with. nothing happens…
wouldn’t really surprise me if the problem is windows vista
haha.

Seb, please see the download page for a vista version. I think you should be able to open the main program now. you may not be able to do “Open with”
Please let me know your findings.

I have Windows XP. None of the three ways I have tried will open “Rotate Video”.
I tried to open an AVI movie that way and I notice that “Rotate Videos” has been made the default for opening these files when I double click, which is not desirable.
Also I have saved my Un-rotated Movie as .wmv and no longer have the original .avi, how do I change it back to .avi so I can rotate it if I can get “Rotate Video” to work.

I have uninstalled “Rotate Video” but now when I double click on Audio or Video files I get this file file does not have a program associatedwith it but otherwise my audio and video are working normally.

I love the simplicity of this program, but I am having no luck. After I rotate a video and click to open it, Windows Media Player and Quicktime both tell me they can’t open the file.

I am having the same trouble as Ian! The sound always disappears. Such a shame as the program is so simple to use. I am running XP Pro and using WMP to play the files. I can’t understand why this is happening. Can you help at all?

PB

Hello.
I am also not able to open the program.
The ‘open with’ function does not open the program when i select it to use Rotate Videos.exe.
It does not open when I try to open the program from the start menu.
It does not open when I try to open the program by double-clicking directly on the Rotate Videos.exe file in its folder.
It is as if nothing happened when I try to open it by any method. I’ve checked the task manager and it is definitely not running.
I am using Windows XP and did indeed download the XP version.

I installed WinXP Rotate Videos fine, shows up in start menu.
If I try to run from start menu, from cmd window, from explorer, or from right-click, nothing happens. No dialogue, no process running.
WinXP SP2, Q6600 core duo quad CPU.
Any suggestions?

I love the idea that you hve a program to do this… and I am so excited to try it out. After I downloaded and set up the program, I tried to open file with Rotate Videos and got this error:
Component RICHTX32.OCX’ or one od it’s dependecies not currently registered: a file is missing or invalid.
I don’t know if I have done something wrong on my end. I just don’t get it. HELP, please!
Thank you,
Trisha

Vista version seems to download fine. But when setting up the program, the license agreement is incomprehensible gibberish. Also, when trying to open, it gives me
“Component ‘RICHTX32.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid”
Any thoughts?

Hi Admin,
I’m experiencing the same problem as Ian (can’t rotate the file without losing the sound). The file looks great except for the loss of sound when run through Windows Media Player v11.0.5721.5230.
I’m also attempting to modify the file after it has been rotated using VideoSpin by Pinnacle (v1.1.1.525) & Videospin has an “error opening video file”. I’ve attempted changing the file associations but this doesn’t seem to help.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you have,
Rob

Thanks for creating this app — however, I couldn’t get it to work. I used the app to rotate an AVI file clockwise. The outputted file didn’t have a thumbnail (unlike the original), and when I double clicked windows media player couldn’t open the file, though it could open the original. I’m using xp, sp2. Looks like it didn’t complete the process, even though the app said it had successfully completed.
Original file size was 433MB, the outputed file was only 53MB.

Here’s my problem. I tried open Rotate Videos but all i got is an error window wich says: “Component ‘RICHTX32.OCX’ or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid”
What should I do? I’ve been trying for several hours finding a program which can rotate my 3GP file but this program wont even open up for me. Help!

Have downloaded and installed the Rotate Videos version for windows XP and cannot open the software through any route……
The software appears to have downloaded successfully - but will not open through the start menu or using the image and ‘open with’.
I am dying to use the application…..just not sure what I’m doing wrong!

Hi there,
I click on my MPG file but it won’t let me open it with your file ?
It clicks on it, then does nothing.

The rotated video is failed to opened.
I found “Video BitRate could not be found, using the default BitRate . . .” is listed before “Done!” . What’s the problem?
Thank you.
