Installing and running BlueMotion
These steps will help you run BlueMotion (formally SonWii) for the first time. Here we will use the bouncing ball application for test purposes. Other applications can be found here.
To test BlueMotion for yourself, follow these simple steps.
- Download the necessary software.
- Set you PC bluetooth to the discoverable mode.
- Install BlueMotion.jar to your mobile phone (either under applications or under games)
- Run BlueMotion Ball (the PC software)
- In BlueMotion Ball, enter the incoming COM port (the COM port through which bluetooth information from your phone is coming through)… if you dont know how to do this, refer to the page on COM ports.
- In BlueMotion Ball, click “Start listening”… this opens the COM port you have entered. By opening this port, BlueMotion Ball is able to get any data sent into the COM port by your phone via bluetooth. - Thats it, everything done on your PC! … now to the mobile phone.
- Run BlueMotion on your mobile.
- After reading the information, click OK on the first screen.
- Follow the instructions on the screen (as you have already selected “Start listening”, you can just click Search on the mobile phone.
- The phone now searches for all bluetooth devices in the vicinity.
- Select your PC to connect to.
- Allow connections (on your mobile phone+ your PC) if you are prompted to do so.
- If all goes well, look at the computer screen to the BlueMotion Ball window - a bouncing ball should appear and you are ready to have fun controlling it!
